Hey! I'm Melissa.

I'm a developer and political campaigner in Gateshead, UK.

I have over a decade of experience as a software developer, which has allowed me to get into a position where I now currently work as a lead developer for loveelectric.cars, which is based in Edinburgh, UK. They provide the means to lease cars through salary sacrifice which allows employees to save up to 60% on the lease cost of their EV.

Outside of my day job I am a political campaigner for the local branch of The Green Party. We are currently campaigning for the people of Bridges in Gateshead, trying to help people with whatever issues they may have that is stopping them from thriving. We're also campaigning to help improve the high street, and to fix many of the various issues going on in that council ward.

Nationally, I am on the committee for the 🏳️‍🌈 LGBTIQA+ Greens, as their Digital Communications Officer. Regionally, I am the Secretary and Elections Officer for the North East Young Greens. 🌱

Outside of political and development work you'll see me very likely geeking out over shows or watching sports (such as basketball, baseball and motorsport to name a few)!
